SUMMARY:Arts in Bloom at HCA May 7-June 24
DESCRIPTION:The 16th annual Arts in Bloom exhibit runs from May 7 through June 24 at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts’ Lotvin Family Gallery. The public is invited in person (with masks and social distancing). Gallery hours are Mondays through Fridays 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This year’s event has a theme of healing\, looking forward\, empathy and community. There were 178 submissions by 70 artists from 35 towns and six states\, and juror Tatianna Flis selected 35 to be displayed. Six pieces were identified for an award and will be honored with fresh flower arrangements designed by Hopkinton Garden Club members that will be on display May 7-14. SUMMARY:Free furniture/electronics drop-off event April 24
DESCRIPTION:In honor of Earth Day 2021\, Green Team Junk Removal and the Hopkinton Sustainable Green Committee are sponsoring a drop-off event for furniture and electronics. The event will be held on Saturday\, April 24\, beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at approximately noon\, depending on when capacity is reached. The location will be the north parking lot of the Hopkinton Center for the Arts\, 98 Hayden Rowe St. Residents should enter via the main High School entrance and exit via the Loop Road. \nFurniture will be donated\, so it must be in clean\, reusable condition. There is a limit of two large furniture items per household. Only the following furniture items will be accepted: couches\, love seats\, recliners\, wooden kitchen tables\, kitchen chairs\, end tables\, coffee tables\, low TV stands\, dressers\, bureaus\, nightstands and lightweight desks. \nElectronics will be recycled. There is no limit on the number of items that may be dropped off. Only the following electronic items will be accepted: PC monitors\, CPUs\, motherboards\, hard drives\, CD drives\, power supplies\, gold/silver RAM\, peripheral cards\, telecom equipment\, telecom boards\, printers/faxes\, phone systems\, cellphones\, cellphone boards\, blank boards\, keyboards\, radio equipment\, gaming systems\, amplifier systems and routers. \nThere is no charge to drop off items. Tax receipts will be available for furniture drop-offs. Residents are required to wear masks and respect social distancing guidelines.
