Saturday’s Town Election, like Town Meeting two weeks earlier, featured a small turnout and no surprises. In the only contested race, incumbents Amanda Fargiano and Meg Tyler easily won the race for the two available seats on the School Committee.

All four questions — which already had passed at Town Meeting but needed majority support Saturday as well — passed by substantial margins. Question 1, the addition to Marathon School, passed 529-243. Question 2, an HVAC upgrade at Hopkinton Middle School, passed 610-160. Question 3, roof repair at Hopkins and the middle school, passed 613-159. Question 4, roof repair at the Hopkinton Police Station, passed 589-181.

Fargiano, who serves as School Committee chair, had 584 votes, while Tyler totaled 516. Newcomer Jared Pray recorded 325 votes.

The results are preliminary, although town clerk Connor Degan said he does not expect much to change before the election is certified in the next few days.

Degan said there were fewer than 1,000 voters, less than 10 percent of the town’s registered voters.
