Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
Art on the Trail is underway on Center Trail and runs through Oct. 23. The theme is “Walk to Inspire — Dedication and Celebration of the 125th Boston Marathon.” A ceremony was held Oct. 7 to unveil the artwork.
The 26.2 Foundation recently was awarded $7,500 to upgrade the trail that runs from the back of Center School to Elmwood Farm on Ash Street to make it more suitable for regular use by hikers, runners and bikers. The trail, which is about 2 miles long, often is wet, and the funds will allow for the construction of bridges.
The Hopkinton Freedom Team will host an Active Bystander Workshop for high schoolers and adults on Thursday, Nov. 4, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This free community workshop is presented by True Story Theater on Zoom.
The Hopkinton Women’s Club will host a floral centerpiece workshop, presented by Marie Smith, on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 1-3 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church hall. Proceeds benefit the Hopkinton Women’s Club’s charitable work.
Town meetings tonight include the Board of Assessors (5), Select Board (6), Conservation Commission (7) and Design Review Board (7:30).
