Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
Leading off the Schools Notebook, a number of local musicians were recognized for regional success this month, which is Music in Our Schools Month. Also, Hopkinton High School Science Fair winners were announced, and the Marathon Fund is offering scholarships to local high school graduates.
Hopkinton Youth & Family Services announced that it will host a program April 11 focused on youth mental health and suicide prevention. The event is being billed as “an evening to generate hope by bringing parents and caregivers together to learn action steps that communities can undertake to strengthen youth mental health and prevent suicide.”
This week’s Baypath Adoptable Animal is 5-year-old Benny, who comes from Korea and has impressed Baypath staff with his bravery.
The local Knights of Columbus annual Food for Families Food Drive, being held virtually this year, got underway Thursday and runs until April 3. The event supports the Hopkinton Food Pantry at Project Just Because.
