HPS Assistant Superintendent Parson lands superintendent job in Plainville

by | May 14, 2022 | Education

Hopkinton Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Jennifer Parson will leave the district to take a job as superintendent in Plainville at the end of this school year.

Plainville School Committee members chose Parson at a meeting Thursday after interviewing the three finalists the previous week, according to a story in The Sun Chronicle.

“She brings a wealth of experience in elementary education, was convincing that her true desire was to be part of a K-6 school system, and after a thorough search process, found to be the best fit for not only our schools, but Plainville as a whole community,” Plainville School Committee Chair Justin Alexander said, according to The Sun Chronicle.

Parson has served as Hopkinton’s assistant superintendent since 2018. She was principal of Center School from 2004-11 before taking a principal’s job in Northborough from 2011-18.
