Greyhound Friends, the dog shelter on Saddle Hill Road, will host its Fall Open House on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (rain date is Sept. 24). The free event features adoptable dogs, music, refreshments, vendors, fun runs, nail trims, silent auction/raffles and a costume contest. There will be a remembrance ceremony in the Memorial Garden at 11:30. Sociable dogs are welcome on a non-retractable leash. Children are welcome, with adult supervision.
