The town released a senior needs assessment survey on Friday in an effort to identity the current and long-term needs of residents aged 55 and older.
The survey is the result of a collaboration with the Gerontology Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston, which will conduct the assessment and analyze the results. The survey can be accessed at this link.
Participation in the survey is voluntary, and individuals’ identities will be kept confidential. Information gathered for this project will be stored securely. Only the research team at the University of Massachusetts Boston will have access to the data.
The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete, and it will close on Nov. 17.
The Council on Aging and other Hopkinton departments hope to understand the needs of this growing demographic and target the issues that impact them once the results are released.
