On Sunday, Jan. 21, at 2 p.m., the Hopkinton Historical Society will host author Susan Wilson, who will speak on her recent biography of Dr. Susan Dimock (1847-75), “Women and Children First: The Trailblazing Life of Susan Dimock, MD.” Dr. Dimock (for whom Boston’s Dimock Health Center is named) moved to Hopkinton in the mid-1860s with her family, and they ran the Hopkinton Hotel. Young Susan also taught in the Hopkinton public schools. Signed books will be available for purchase from the author. The event is free and open to the public.
