Spring storm brings snow, delays school start

by | Apr 4, 2024 | Education, Featured: Education

Thursday’s storm brought a mix of rain and snow that led to slushy going on local roads and forced the schools to delay their openings.

“Given the slick nature of the roads this morning, we are going to implement a two-hour delay,” Superintendent Carol Cavanaugh wrote to the school community.

Hopkinton High School and Hopkinton Middle School were set for a 9:55 opening. The elementary schools were pushed back to 10:55. Morning preschool was canceled, while afternoon preschool retains its 12:30 start time.

Light snow is expected to continue through the afternoon and into the early evening.
