Schools Notebook: HHS winter concerts start Wednesday

The Hopkinton Public Schools Performing Arts Department invites the community to attend the upcoming school winter concerts. Young musicians will perform a wide variety of music, including some seasonal selections. The concerts are free and open to the public.

The Grade 6/7 concert is Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m at the Hopkinton High School athletic center.

The high school’s jazz and concert bands will perform Monday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. at the HHS auditorium. Attendees are invited to dust off their instruments and join the concert band on stage to play Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride.”

The high school’s chorus and orchestra will perform Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m. at the HHS auditorium.

The Grade 8 concert is Thursday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. at the Hopkinton Middle School auditorium.

HHS musicians to perform at festival

Hopkinton High School had 11 students selected to participate in the 2026 Massachusetts Music Educators Association Central District Festival on Saturday, Jan. 17, at Mechanics Hall in Worcester.

The students are Hannah Borzumato (chorus), Aritro Chatterjee (orchestra), May Chen (band), Jackson Chen (orchestra), Marlowe Gedratis (orchestra), Katherine Jackson (band), Joshua Kim (orchestra), Pranav Lakkireddy (band), Benjamin Liang (orchestra), Alper Rozy (jazz band) and Benjamin Yang (orchestra).
