HPD: 2 suspects arrested for larceny at CVS Sunday arraigned Monday

Two New York men arrested Sunday for larceny at CVS were arraigned Monday at Framingham District Court, Hopkinton’s interim police chief announced Monday afternoon.

In a statement released to the Independent, Interim Police Chief Scott van Raalten stated that officers responded to a reported larceny Sunday at the CVS at 61 Main Street at 2:07 p.m. The report noted that “two individuals were seen placing approximately $2,400 worth of merchandise into bags and exiting the store.”

Upon arrival, officers located two individuals matching the suspects’ descriptions near the Shell gas station across the street.

“The suspects, identified as Hanner Esteban Munoz Delgadillo and Juan Diego Guitierrez-Manrique, both of New Jersey, were taken into custody without incident following an investigation,” according to van Raalten. “Store employees successfully recovered the abandoned bags containing the stolen items, and officers confirmed the contents.” [Editor’s note: Booking information indicates the suspects are from New York, not New Jersey.]

Munoz Delgadillo was charged with:

  • Larceny over $1,200 (M.G.L. c. 266 § 20A)
  • Operation of motor vehicle after suspension or revocation of license; concealment of identity of motor vehicle (M.G.L. c. 90 § 23)

Guitierrez-Manrique was charged with larceny over $1,200.

“During the booking process, it was revealed that Guitierrez-Manrique had an active extraditable warrant out of Pennsylvania for shoplifting,” van Raalten stated. “Additionally, a vehicle associated with the suspects, a blue BMW found in the CVS parking lot, has been secured pending a search warrant.”

He added that the investigation remains ongoing.
