The Hopkinton Senior Center is open Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. For a more extensive listing of programs and services, including lunch program menus, as well as a newsletter, check hopkintonseniorcenter.com. Senior Resource and Information Fair
Thursday, Sept. 17, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
This community event will feature representatives from a wide range of local organizations. Seniors can explore resources, services and educational opportunities focused on aging, wellness and planning for the future. The event will feature short information sessions, free 10-minute chair massages, door prizes and more. It is open to seniors in all towns.

Painting with Venus
Thursday, Sept. 24, 1 p.m.
Everyone is invited to a mingle and paint event led by artist and instructor Amy Adams. This event will provide an opportunity for attendees to connect with others through the use of art. All experience levels are welcome. This program is supported by a grant from the Hopkinton Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Advance registration is required, and space is limited.

Hopkinton Repair Fair
Saturday, Sept. 26, 9 a.m.-noon
The annual Hopkinton Repair Fair is a free community event where people can bring items that don’t work right — such as small appliances, dull knives, books that need rebinding, clothing that needs fixes, etc. — and volunteers help repair them. Individuals must remain on site while their item is repaired and should bring necessary replacement parts if applicable, or be prepared to run to a hardware store. Walk-ins are welcome, or individuals can call the Senior Center to register repair requests. This program is presented in partnership with the Hopkinton Lions Club.

Frisbee Dogs
Monday, Oct. 5, 2 p.m.
Mike and his team of world-record holding and K-9 Frisbee finalist dogs will put on a performance at Reed Park (off Wood Street) featuring stunts and some audience participation. A shuttle will be available to take participants from the Woodville Rod & Gun Club to Reed Park starting at 1 p.m. Guests are asked to call the Senior Center to add their name to the shuttle list. Participants must bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, and some concessions will be provided. Attendees are asked to leave their own pets at home.

Pottery for Beginners
Tuesdays, 12:30-2:30 p.m.
This nine-week course, designed for beginners, teaches essential ceramics skills. Participants will have the opportunity to master fundamental hand-building techniques including pinching, coiling and slab construction. The instructor will provide step-by-step guidance. Registration is required, as space is limited. The full session is $100. Those who don’t make it into this class will have opportunities to sign up again in the winter and spring.
