The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced it will close ramps overnight at the Interstate 90/Interstate 495 interchange in Hopkinton starting Thursday and continuing into Thursday.

MassDOT reported in a notice that it plans to close the I-495 northbound ramp to Route 9 eastbound (Exit 59A) beginning Tuesday night. Work will continue until Thursday morning. Work hours are 10 p.m.-5 a.m.

While the closure is in place, traffic is scheduled to detour to Route 9 westbound (Exit 59B) in order to reverse direction back to I-495 southbound. Drivers then can access Route 9 eastbound (Exit 59A) from there.

Appropriate signage and law enforcement details will be in place. Drivers should anticipate delays and exercise caution while traveling through work zones.
