The Hopkinton Sustainable Green Committee will host the inaugural Pumpkin Compost Smash on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2-4 p.m. in the Hopkinton High School parking lot behind the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. Children and adults can toss and smash their pumpkins into the Black Earth carnival truck, and the pumpkins then will be composted. Pumpkins should be free of paint, glitter, candles and other decorations. For more information, visit hopgreen.org.
