Business Profile: Guaranteed Rate devoted to clients, community

by | Jun 18, 2022 | Business, Featured

Bryan Brown

Branch manager Bryan Brown and his wife, Kristen, are raising their children in Hopkinton.

Bryan Brown, branch manager at Guaranteed Rate, is all about the big picture. Day to day, he and his team at Guaranteed Rate are committed to finding mortgage solutions for their clients, but Brown also is focused on what his work will mean decades from now.

“I’m very passionate about the community, and as somebody who manages a business, I think I can have a lot of impact,” Brown says. “I want my kids to look back 30 years from now and tell me, ‘Dad, Hopkinton was an amazing place to grow up, and some of the stuff you did in the business community had a lot to do with that.’ ”

In addition to managing Guaranteed Rate, Brown is the vice president of the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce, for which he recently spearheaded Restaurant Week, and the former president and co-founder of the Hopkinton chapter of the networking group BNI. He has also been involved in Hopkinton schools and sports, including coaching all three of his children’s teams.

Guaranteed Rate is a direct mortgage lender that offers a variety of services, including refinance and purchase loans, home equity loans and lines of credit, interest-only loans, debt consolidation, reverse mortgages, commercial loans and investment property loans. The company’s attractive interest rates are one of the things that set it apart, Brown says, in addition to its use of technology.

“People feel like it’s a ton of paperwork to get a mortgage,” Brown explains, “but technology has changed that. Now we can close loans in less than 10 days, when it used to be a painstaking process that would take 60 days.”

The team’s attention to customer service also distinguishes Guaranteed Rate. Clients have 24/7 access to Brown and also receive a mortgage concierge who proactively reaches out to them throughout the process. “We work tirelessly on service and are actively talking about client experience each day,” Brown says.

For those who are considering purchasing this year, Brown confirms that it’s a difficult market, but he encourages clients to be persistent and patient and not get discouraged. “It could take a while, but the home of your dreams is still attainable,” he says.

Despite the challenges, Brown is motivated by his clients’ success stories. “[Recently] we closed a loan for a veteran in 10 business days, and the client put no money down. It made me feel really good,” Brown shares. “He is now happily living in a home that he thought he was going to lose.”

Brown was nervous when he relocated to Hopkinton from Waltham in 2015, but he was quickly welcomed into the fold. “I never felt a sense of community until I moved to Hopkinton. I finally felt rooted,” he shares. “I’m so appreciative of everyone for supporting my business and my family. I also want to thank our town leadership and all the people who make the community as safe and strong as it is.”

Guaranteed Rate is located at 22 South Street, Suite 201. To learn more, call 978-870-7138 or visit rate.com/BryanBrown.
