Residents are invited to become a Dementia Friend by attending an interactive and engaging Dementia Friends Information Session at St. John’s Parish Center on Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. Attendees will learn the five key dementia messages, the different types of dementia and their impact, what it’s like to live with dementia, how to interact and communicate with people living with dementia, and small gestures that make a difference. For reservations, call the Hopkinton Senior Center at 508-497-9730. The session, open to residents of any town, is suitable for adults and children in middle school and older.
