Old Guard New England, a nonprofit honor guard with veteran and non-veteran members from Hopkinton and surrounding communities, gathers on the first Sunday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Hopkinton Town Common gazebo to share a historical account of that day of the month along with an announcement of veterans who have died since the previous month’s ceremony, followed by a bugler playing taps.
