The Veterans Breakfast is held on the first Friday of every month from 9-10 a.m. at the Hopkinton Senior Center. No registration is required. All veterans are welcome to share in the camaraderie of fellow vets. The next breakfast is Sept. 2 and is sponsored by Prime Rate Home Mortgage. Organizers will recall several past military events that happened on this date — such as the sea rescue of Lt. j.g. George H.W. Bush — and entertain sports fans with baseball events from Sept. 2. Last month’s discussions will be extended to include past significant events of selected Hopkinton veterans. Future veterans activities planned for Hopkinton will be announced.
