HHS girls lax, tennis teams open postseason play this week

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association announced the brackets for some spring sports over the weekend.

In girls lacrosse, Hopkinton is seeded 20th in Division 1. The Hillers (14-4) will visit 13th-seeded Central Catholic (8-10) in a first-round game Tuesday at 6 p.m.

HHS boys tennis (14-3) is seeded 24th in Division 1 and will play at ninth-seeded Concord-Carlisle (7-5) on Thursday at 4 p.m. in a first-round battle.

Girls tennis (15-3) is the 16th seed in Division 1. The Hillers will host 17th-seeded Newton North (9-7) on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in the first round.

All Hopkinton teams qualified for postseason play, and the rest of the brackets are due to be released this week.
