Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
Jennie Renshaw is a busy wife and mother of two small children and a territory manager for a medical sales company, and now the Hopkinton resident can add author to that list. Renshaw recently penned the children’s book, “Contagious: Spread Love Not Germs.”
Hopkinton’s latest COVID-19 update shows 30 active cases in town and includes information about the vaccination schedule and testing infrastructure. There’s also an update on Town Hall and Hopkinton Public Library holiday hours.
Members of the Hopkinton Growth Study Committee propose creating an economic development office within the town to bring in new economic opportunities and work closely with the business community.
The town’s Water Department and Fire Department requested residents’ assistance in maintaining accessibility to the town’s 700 fire hydrants, which can become buried during a storm like the one that dropped about a foot of snow on town Thursday.
