Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
School will start later this fall at Hopkinton High School, Hopkinton Middle School and Hopkins Elementary School, School Committee members agreed Thursday. Start times for the high school and middle school would move to approximately 8 a.m. from the current 7:25 a.m. Hopkins would start at about 9 a.m. rather than the current 8:15 a.m. The committee also discussed the strategy for reopening the schools full-time.
The town’s latest COVID-19 update indicates there are 28 active cases in town. It also has information on the vaccination schedule and the library reopening for walk-in hours.
The Hopkinton High School girls basketball team saw its five-game winning streak come to an end Thursday night with a 44-35 loss to visiting Westwood. Meanwhile, the HHS ski teams both finished second in their races at Ski Ward in Shrewsbury.
