Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
Hopkinton politicians were quick to condemn Wednesday’s actions in Washington, where a mob of Donald Trump loyalists stormed the U.S. Capitol while the House and Senate were preparing to confirm Joe Biden’s election as president. “[Wednesday’s] actions in Washington, D.C., are a sickening, embarrassing reflection of where our society has gone in the last few years,” stated Select Board chair Brendan Tedstone.
Hopkinton’s latest COVID-19 update shows 60 active cases in town. There also is information on the town’s emergency notification system and how residents can receive updates on government news.
