Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
The use of masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 was discussed at this past Thursday’s School Committee meeting, with a vote expected at the next meeting this Thursday. Representatives for two groups — one for and one opposed — presented their viewpoints, as did a few community members.
Leading off the Schools Notebook, Hopkinton High School students Nicolette Buonora and Lauren Strechay won two awards at the sixth annual Invention Convention U.S. Nationals, hosted by The Henry Ford Museum online this spring.
This week’s Library Corner includes updates on the library’s expanded hours as well as information on programs including Adult Take & Make, Freedom Team book club and a presentation for those looking to relaunch their career.
Town meetings tonight include the Design Review Board (7).
