Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
Saturday morning’s outdoor Town Meeting was efficient, with residents moving through the 22 articles in just over two hours. Town Meeting elected to delay a vote on the Planning Board’s commercial solar map, support the taking of Legacy Farms Road North as a public street, and approve the Fiscal Year 2021 operating budget.
Leading off the latest edition of Business Briefs, Hopkinton’s Thomas Bond was named president-elect of the Massachusetts Bar Association for its 2020-21 year, beginning on Sept. 1.
Hopkinton’s latest COVID-19 update has information on Town Hall, Youth & Family Services, the library and the Senior Center.
The School Committee meets tonight (7) to address the negotiations with the Hopkinton Teachers Association. The Planning Board also meets (7), as does the Board of Health (5:30).
