Hopkinton Today: Thursday, Sept. 24

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.

The Hopkinton school district’s reliance on livestreaming classes to students using remote learning plans is not effective, according to the Hopkinton Teachers Association, which released a statement Wednesday addressing the situation.

Resident Courtney Derderian presented to the Planning Board last week a design for two four-lot developments off Cedar Street, near the Southborough town line. The plan calls for two cul-de-sacs, although the Planning Board suggested that was not a preferred option.

MassSupport, a service of Riverside Trauma Center, and Hopkinton Youth and Family Services are sponsoring a Suicide Prevention Town Hall titled, “I Want to See You Tomorrow: Understanding and Supporting Youth in Distress,” tonight from 7-9 p.m. on Zoom.
