Hopkinton Today: Tuesday, March 29

by | Mar 29, 2022 |

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

Leading off the Board of Health roundup from Monday night’s meeting, members voiced support of a revolving account for the Health Department’s nursing division and received an update on some post-COVID initiatives.

The next monthly Veterans Breakfast at the Senior is this Friday at 9 a.m. Organizers will recall several past military events that happened on this date and entertain sports fans with baseball events from April 1. Last month’s discussions will be extended to include past significant events of selected Hopkinton veterans. Future veterans activities planned for Hopkinton will be announced.

The next monthly trail volunteer day, organized by the Hopkinton Trail Coordination and Management Committee and the Hopkinton Trails Club, is this Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon at the Center Trail.

Town meetings tonight include the Conservation Commission (7) and Permanent Building Committee (7).

Photos of the Day: The Hopkinton Basketball Association’s annual Celtics game was Sunday night. Players from the program participated in pregame and halftime scrimmages and watched the Celtics defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves and temporarily move into first place in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.
