Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video to brighten your morning.
Hopkinton Public Schools superintendent Carol Cavanaugh, speaking on HCAM’s Hopkinton Hangout Hour on Tuesday afternoon, indicated plans are continuing for schools in town to reopen on Sept. 16, and she said negotiations with teachers are “going very well.”
Developer Lou Petrozzi appeared before the Planning Board on Monday night seeking an Approval Not Required (ANR) for his three-home plan off Leonard Street. After some technical issues were raised, Petrozzi said he would resubmit his application for discussion at the board’s Sept. 28 meeting.
The Hopkinton Police Department announced that it will accept unused medication (no liquids) and used needles in the station lobby (74 Main St.) on Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The department will properly dispose of the items.
The School Committee has office hours today from 1-2 p.m. The Parks & Rec Commission meets at 7 p.m.
