Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
Project Just Because announced earlier this year that it planned to move into its own facility after its lease expires at its current location next fall. PJB has its sights set on a building just down South Street from where it currently houses is food pantry and warehouse. Now the organization is seeking help from the community to raise the funds needed to make the move.
The Hopkinton History Center will hold an open house along with a Vintage/Antique Doll Exhibition this Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
As part of this Saturday’s Holiday Stroll, the Hopkinton Women’s Club will have a table upstairs at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. The organization will sell handmade Christmas ornaments, which can be personalized on the spot.
Town meetings tonight include the Upper Charles Trail Committee (5) and Parks & Recreation Commission (5:30).
Photo of the Day: The Hopkinton High School girls soccer team recently held its postseason banquet at Hopkinton Country Club, and among those recognized were sophomore Brooke Birtwistle (coaches MVP) and senior Ashley Butler (players MVP).
