Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
The Planning Board discussed Eversource’s improvement project at the liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility at 52 Wilson Street for the majority of Monday’s hour-long meeting. The main issue was the request for additional tree cuttings at the southern border of the site in the vicinity of a new flare stack, which was unanimously approved.
Scouts BSA Troop 11 has partnered with the local French pastry chefs at B. Food to run a pie fundraiser through Nov. 6. Donations also are being accepted for Troop 11, which is one of the first all-girl Scouts BSA troops in the nation, and since February 2019 has been engaging girls from Hopkinton and surrounding towns in programs that offer life, leadership and outdoor skills.
This month’s Veterans Breakfast is Friday from 9-10 a.m. at the Hopkinton Senior Center. It’s sponsored by veterans and supporters of the Employee Resource Group at Dell EMC.
Town meetings today include the Council on Aging (1) and Upper Charles Trail Committee (5).
