I-495 southbound off-ramps to close overnight Tuesday, Wednesday for construction work

by | Sep 3, 2023 | News

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation on Friday announced overnight closures for the off-ramps from I-495 southbound to the Route 85 connector in Marlborough (Exit 65A) and West Main Street in Hopkinton (Exit 54A) on Tuesday, Sept. 5, and Wednesday, Sept. 6, from 10 p.m- 5 a.m. to allow for construction work.

These temporary overnight traffic impacts are necessary to allow crews and contractors to safely and effectively conduct construction operations. Drivers who are traveling through these areas should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution. All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change.

During the overnight work, the following detours will be in place:

— When the I-495 southbound (exit 65A) off-ramp to the Route 85 Connector in Marlborough is closed, traffic will be directed to follow the detour signs in place and use Exit 63A.

— When the I-495 southbound off-ramp to West Main Street in Hopkinton is closed, traffic will be directed to follow the detour signs in place and use Exit 50.

— Both ramps will not be closed simultaneously.
