MassDOT announces I-90/I-495 ramp closure for Thursday

by | May 30, 2026 | News

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced it will close one ramp at the Interstate 90/Interstate 495 interchange in Hopkinton Thursday night.

The I-495 southbound ramp to I-90 (Exit 58) will close Thursday at 11 p.m. to facilitate construction operations. All work is anticipated to be completed by 5 a.m on Friday.

When the I-495 southbound ramp to I-90 (Exit 58) is closed, traffic will detour to West Main Street (Exit 54A). Drivers will reverse direction on I-495 northbound to access I-90 eastbound and westbound.

Appropriate signage and law enforcement details will be in place. Drivers should anticipate delays and exercise caution while traveling through work zones. Work begins at 11 p.m. on scheduled days and concludes at 5 a.m. the following morning.

For more information on traffic conditions, drivers can visit the Mass511 website, which features travel times and real-time traffic.
