Saturday morning work scheduled for I-90/I-495 interchange ramps

by | Apr 1, 2026 | News

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced that ramps at the Interstate 90/Interstate 495 interchange will close during the early morning on Saturday.

Between 1-4 a.m. on Saturday, the I-495 northbound and southbound ramps (Exit 58) connecting to I-90 westbound will be closed. In a statement, MassDOT noted that the closures are scheduled for “routine construction operations to take place.”

During work hours, traffic will be directed to follow detour signs from the I-495 northbound and southbound exit ramps on to I-90 eastbound. From there, drivers can reverse direction onto I-90 westbound from Route 9 (Exit 111).

Appropriate signage and law enforcement details will be in place. Drivers should anticipate delays and exercise caution while traveling through work zones. All work is weather-dependent and subject to change without notice.

For more information on traffic conditions, drivers can visit the Mass511 website, which features travel times and real-time traffic.
