Schools, town offices closed again Tuesday

by | Feb 23, 2026 | Featured: News, News

Hopkinton Public Schools administration has canceled all classes Tuesday, and town offices will be closed as well as the town continues cleanup efforts following Monday’s winter storm.

“In consultation with DPW and town officials, side roads, bus stops, and sidewalks remain a concern following the more than 18 inches of snow from this storm,” the school announcement reads. “While progress has been made, additional time is needed to ensure safe travel for buses, walkers, and drivers. We are keeping the option open for afternoon/evening sports practices. A decision on those events will be made by noon tomorrow.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience and are grateful to our DPW crews for their continued efforts during cleanup.”

An announcement from the town cited “the safety of our employees and the public” in its decision to close municipal buildings, including the library and Senior Center.

Curbside trash pickup is on a one-day delay.
