The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will close more ramps overnight next week at the Interstate 90/Interstate 495 interchange in Hopkinton and shift traffic on I-90 eastbound.
The I-90 eastbound ramp to I-495 northbound (Exit 106) will be closed overnight Monday-Thursday. While the closure is in place, traffic will be directed on to I-495 southbound to West Main Street in Hopkinton (Exit 54A) to reverse direction to I-495 northbound.
The ramp to I-90 westbound and eastbound (Exit 58) also will be closed during the same time period. The detour will divert traffic up I-495 northbound to Route 9 westbound (Exit 59B). Drivers can reverse direction to I-495 southbound to access I-90.
Traffic on I-90 eastbound will shift to a new alignment starting Thursday evening. Temporary lane closures will be in place beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday until 5 a.m. on Friday while the shift is completed. At least one travel lane will remain open at all times. The alignment is expected to remain in place until mid-2027 to accommodate the third phase of the Railroad Bridge construction.
Work hours are 11 p.m.-5 a.m. Appropriate signage and law enforcement details will be in place. Drivers should anticipate delays and exercise caution while traveling through work zones.
