Trails Club walk at Center School rescheduled to Aug. 17

by | Aug 10, 2023 | Featured: News, News

The Hopkinton Trails Club announced Thursday afternoon that the walk planned in the evening at Center School has been rescheduled for next Thursday (Aug. 17) at 7 p.m. due to predicted inclement weather.

The family-friendly event is cosponsored by the Trails Club and the Hopkinton Public Library. Experts from the Trails Club plan to speak about the area’s history, flora and fauna. According to the library’s website, the trail surface is mostly single track with some rocks and roots in places. There are wooden bridges over any water bodies on the trail.

This is the second time that the weather has put a damper on plans for a trail walk. The Trails Committee rescheduled a July 29 walk to Aug. 3 due to severe thunderstorms and the threat of a tornado.
