26.2 Foundation seeks Boston Marathon runners to join Team Inspire

by | Jul 11, 2021 | Sports

The Hopkinton-based 26.2 Foundation extended its deadline to July 25 for those interested in joining its 2021 Boston Marathon team, called Team Inspire. Participants who commit to raising money for the organization will have access to training and fundraising support, local weekly training runs, race weekend festivities, and race day hosting in Hopkinton.

The foundation has a limited number of bibs available for those willing to raise $8,500. An individual who already has a bib and would like to join Team Inspire can do so for a $3,000 fundraising commitment. Someone who is planning to run the virtual race this fall can join the team for a $500 fundraising commitment.

Anyone interested in joining Team Inspire can get more information at 26-2.org or by emailing mdono11@gmail.com.

This year’s Boston Marathon, the 125th running, is being held Oct. 11.
