Museum of Bad Art: In The Nood
Tuesday, Nov. 9, 7 p.m. (Zoom)
The local Museum of Bad Art is the only museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, exhibition and celebration of bad art in all its forms. Consistent with other major museums, the Museum of Bad Art contains works celebrating the human form. It is not obvious, however, that all the artists have actually seen a naked person. This program is for adults as it does contain “nood”ity. Register at the library’s website calendar.

Conversation Circle at the Library
Wednesdays, 1:30-3 p.m.; Fridays, 12-2 p.m.
This program will provide an opportunity for English as a second language (ESL) learners to practice vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar in a fun, comfortable, laid-back environment. All Conversation Circles will be led by community volunteers. Leaders will use guided conversations and real-life situations to build language confidence. Register at the library’s website calendar.

The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America
Tuesday, Nov. 16, 7 p.m. (Zoom)
In this virtual discussion, acclaimed author Richard Rothstein demonstrates that residential segregation was created by racially explicit and unconstitutional government policy in the mid-20th century that openly subsidized whites-only suburbanization in which African-Americans were prohibited from participating. His lecture will educate attendees on the history of this policy so they can be prepared to undertake the national conversation necessary to remedy the unconstitutional racial landscape. Register at bit.ly/RichardRothstein.
