Red Cross Blood Drive
Thursday, Aug. 4, 2-7 p.m.
Register at the Red Cross website (rcblood.org/3AmuYsP) or call the Reference Desk at 508-497-9777 for help scheduling an appointment.

Owls
Monday, Aug. 8, 2-3 p.m.
Participants will get up close to three live owl species native to Massachusetts, discover the unique features that help these birds survive, learn about conservation challenges currently facing local owls, and find out the best way to discover which of these birds lives nearby.

Fused Glass
Tuesday, Aug. 9, 3-4 p.m. (teen session)
In this fun afternoon of glassmaking, participants will arrange glass in beautiful patterns. Then, host Deenie Pacik will take the items home to her kiln, fuse the glass and send them back. Participants can create a pendant or magnet of their own design. Registration is required, as space is limited. The Friends of the Library is sponsoring this event.

Children’s Concert with Rockabye Beats
Wednesday, Aug. 10, 10-10:45 a.m.
This concert is for ages 0-5.

Wicked Good Henna
Tuesday, Aug. 16, 3-4 p.m. (teen session), 6-7 p.m. (adult session)
Those curious about henna as well as avid fans can learn about henna or take the time to enjoy it again. Mandy Roberge will showcase her talents by applying 100 percent organic and all-natural henna paste into intricate designs on attendees’ skin. Registration is required for a guaranteed spot, though walk-ins are welcome if space is available.

Escape Room: From the Rogue Planet
Tuesday, Aug. 23, various times
The challenge: You and your group have crash-landed on a rogue planet. Repair the ship, plot a return course and survive the journey home. For ages 12 and older.
