ARRESTS

July 30
10:48 a.m. A caller reported an erratic operator on West Main Street. Officer Robert Ekross responded and conducted a motor vehicle stop on West Main Street. Sergeant Matthew McNeil and Officer Tyler Staback responded as backup. A 28-year-old from Thompson, Connecticut, was arrested and charged with marked lanes violation, OUI liquor, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

August 1
2:38 p.m. A caller reported an erratic operator on Wood Street. Sergeants Scott van Raalten and Matthew McNeil and Officers Shannon Beloin and Alexander Stewart responded. A portable breath test was administered. A 62-year-old from Medway was arrested and charged with marked lanes violation, OUI liquor, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

12:07 a.m. Officer Basit Dennis made checks of Sandy Beach on Lakeshore Drive.
9:39 a.m. A Cedar Street caller reported a gift card and email scam. Officer Brittany Firth took a report.
10:20 a.m. A caller reported a smashed window in a white SUV on Fruit Street. Officer Matthew Santoro responded and took a report of vandalism.
2:33 p.m. A caller reported losing a piece of jewelry over the weekend and wanted it logged.
2:44 p.m. Officer Shannon Beloin assisted a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street after a spare tire came off.
4:44 p.m. A caller requested to speak with an officer about an incident from earlier in the morning. Chief Joseph Bennett, Sergeant Matthew McNeil and Officer Matthew LaTour responded and assisted.
5:54 p.m. Officer Matthew LaTour assisted the Milford Police Department and checked on a motor vehicle on Constitution Court that was involved in a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident.
6:03 p.m. A caller reported a male in a blue shirt going in and out of driveways on Connelly Hill Road. Sergeant Matthew McNeil and Officer Matthew LaTour responded and spoke with the man, who had appointments at four different houses. All was OK.
8:02 p.m. A caller reported a dog running loose on West Main Street. Officer Cody Normandin responded and checked the area with a negative find.
9:04 p.m. A caller reported the outside odor of natural gas on Eastview Road. Officer Matthew LaTour responded along with the Fire Department, and Eversource was notified.

July 27
12:08 a.m. Officer Basit Dennis checked on the boat ramps on Legacy Farms North.
12:35 a.m. The Upton Police Department reported a suspicious vehicle fleeing Upton at a high rate of speed. Officer Basit Dennis, working a detail on West Main Street, reported seeing the vehicle go on the Interstate 495 ramp. The Upton Police Department was notified.
1:52 a.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield made checks of South Street.
8:10 a.m. A detail officer on Main Street reported a truck driving eastbound was dropping small stones in the road. Officer Basit Dennis responded and checked the area with a negative find on the vehicle.
12:09 p.m. A caller reported being harassed by a former business partner. Officer Matthew LaTour gave the caller advice and reported it was a civil matter, not a police matter.
4:23 p.m. Officer Matthew LaTour checked on a motor vehicle parked on South Street.
8:55 p.m. A Hoyt Way caller reported a person in a silver minivan illegally dumped trash in the new development. Officers Cody Normandin and Alexander Stewart responded and checked the trash.
10:08 p.m. Officers Cody Normandin and Alexander Stewart made checks of Sandy Beach on Lakeshore Drive.

July 28
12:45 a.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik checked on the Fruit Street fields.
12:59 a.m. Officer Cody Normandin checked on people in a parked vehicle in a back parking lot on Hayden Rowe Street and moved them along.
4:26 a.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik made checks of Pratt Way.
7:23 a.m. An anonymous caller reported an unlicensed woman sitting in an unregistered vehicle on Wilson Street. Officers Shannon Beloin and Sean McKeon responded and spoke with the woman.
10:31 a.m. Officer Sean McKeon checked on Wilson Street property.
11:03 a.m. A caller reported a stolen package. The caller was referred to the Milford Police Department, as the incident took place in Milford.
2:11 p.m. A caller complained that a company was doing work on Daniel Shays Road without a police detail and causing a road hazard. Officer Shannon Beloin responded and reported there were flaggers on scene doing their best. Work was to cease at 3 p.m.
3:15 p.m. Officers Robert Ekross, Matthew LaTour and Tyler Staback assisted the Ashland Police Department with securing a landing zone for MedFlight.
4:56 p.m. Officer Matthew LaTour requested a tow for a disabled minivan on South Street.
5:08 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil stood by while a vehicle was towed on West Main Street.
10:23 p.m. Officers Cody Normandin and Alexander Stewart checked on Pratt Way property.

July 29
12:42 a.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik made checks of Hayden Rowe Street.
3:34 a.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield checked on a vehicle on South Street.
11:13 a.m. Chief Joseph Bennett completed community relations on Hayden Rowe Street.
1:54 p.m. A caller reported a driver was swerving off the road on West Main Street at the Upton town line. The Upton Police Department was notified.
6:39 p.m. Officer Jessica Ferreira responded along with the Fire Department to a report of a carbon monoxide alarm sounding on Marshall Avenue.
9:40 p.m. Officer Jessica Ferreira made checks of Wilson Street.
10:28 p.m. Officers Nicholas Saletnik and Jessica Ferreira responded to a motor vehicle accident involving two cars on East Main Street. No personal injuries were reported. A complaint application was issued to one driver.

July 30
12:22 a.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik made checks of the Fruit Street fields.
1:23 a.m. Officers Basit Dennis and Nicholas Saletnik checked on East Street property.
10:43 a.m. A caller reported losing a small brown wallet that was last used at Price Chopper on West Main Street. The incident was logged.
1:27 p.m. A caller reported the turtle crossing sign on Huckleberry Road was stolen and wanted the incident logged.
1:31 p.m. A caller reported a turtle crossing sign was stolen on Clinton Street. The incident was logged.
2:14 p.m. Officer Sean McKeon reported the green light on West Main Street westbound was not working. The DPW was contacted.
4:43 p.m. A Pendulum Pass caller reported a missing Lakeland terrier. The incident was logged.
5:54 p.m. A Hillcrest Drive resident complained of a noise ordinance violation. Sergeant Matthew McNeil and Officers Tyler Staback and Robert Ekross responded and advised the construction company to cease operations.
11:59 p.m. Officer Basit Dennis made checks on Parkwood Drive.

July 31
12:58 a.m. Officer Basit Dennis made checks of South Street businesses.
10:23 a.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik checked on Wilson Street property.
11:09 a.m. A caller reported a possibly intoxicated female in a Lumber Street parking lot, and she subsequently entered a vehicle. Sergeant Matthew McNeil and Officer Jessica Ferreira responded and reported the individual found a ride home.
11:30 a.m. A walk-in reported a shirtless male in swim trunks sharpening a machete-type blade on Main Street. Sergeant Matthew McNeil an Officer Jessica Ferreira responded. The person was gone upon their arrival.
1:32 p.m. A caller requested to speak with an officer and file a report about an incident that happened in the morning. Sergeant Matthew McNeil assisted and took a report.
2:27 p.m. Sergeant Matthew McNeil issued two parking citations on Legacy Farms North.
6:17 p.m. A Cross Street caller reported two packages with no labels were dropped off at her house. Officers Cody Normandin and Nicholas Saletnik responded and reported finding buckets and nothing suspicious.
7:52 p.m. Officers Cody Normandin and Nicholas Saletnik responded along with the Fire Department to a car fire on Interstate 495. A person was transported to the hospital.
8:02 p.m. Officer Matthew LaTour brought in a wallet found by a person in Milford. The incident was logged.
9:53 p.m. Officer Jessica Ferreira checked on Pratt Way property.
10:15 p.m. Officer Matthew LaTour checked on a motor vehicle parked on Legacy Farms North.

August 1
12:03 a.m. While checking on East Street property, Officer Basit Dennis came across a person in a vehicle and moved him along.
1:51 a.m. Officer Cody Normandin assisted the Fire Department on Westcott Drive.
8:57 a.m. A walk-in reported a case of fraud after he transferred money to his attorney for the purchase of a house, but it was not his attorney. Officer Brittany Firth assisted and took a report.
11:17 a.m. A caller reported a suspicious person sitting in a vehicle on Hayden Rowe Street watching children in the area. Officer Shannon Beloin responded and found no one in the vehicle.
1:32 p.m. The Fire Department reported a truck blocking one lane of traffic on West Main Street. Sergeant Matthew McNeil responded and requested a tow truck for removal.
2:14 p.m. Sergeant Scott van Raalten assisted a walk-in with fingerprinting for employment.
4:02 p.m. A caller reported her wallet was stolen out of her shopping cart at Price Chopper on West Main Street. Officer Jessica Ferreira responded and was able to locate the wallet.
6:19 p.m. A caller complained of a trailer parked on Lakeshore Drive with no vehicle attached. Officer Jessica Ferreira responded and reported it was not in a hazardous spot.
11:51 p.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield checked on a vehicle on Legacy Farms North and found it unoccupied.
