Sean Gołembiewski continued his success on the track Wednesday, winning the Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association indoor pentathlon at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston.

Golembiewski recorded 3,404 points, a school record. The pentathlon includes the 55-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 1,000.

Golembiewski also combined with Declan Mick and Andrew Budden to finish second in the team competition. The trio broke the school record as well.

In the girls pentathlon on Thursday, the Hopkinton team of Josie Hopkins, Shelby Jones and Keira O’Connor finished seventh.

Girls hockey falls

The HHS girls hockey co-op team’s first-ever postseason game did not go in its favor, as host Winthrop skated away with a 5-0 victory.

It was a one-goal game after one period, and the Vikings scored twice in each of the final two periods to pull away

Hopkinton, the 28th seed, wraps up its season with a record of 6-13-2. Winthrop, the fifth seed, remains perfect at 19-0.
