Thickening invasive weeds in Lake Maspenock have some residents calling for a potential limited use of herbicides to contain the growing problem that threatens to choke off the aquatic life there.
The Hopkinton High School girls soccer team graduated just four starters from a team that advanced to the final eight in the state tournament, and coach Tom Skiba is optimistic that this year’s team has a stout defense that could lead to another long tournament run.
The Hopkinton High School Athletic Hall of Fame is set to induct its sixth class on Oct. 21. A total of 20 inductees will be enshrined, with their careers ranging from the 1940s through 2009.
The Woodville Rod & Gun Club will host its third annual Craft Fair on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be many crafters with unique items for sale — Halloween, fall, Christmas, home decor and more.
