Mary H. Brown, 85, of Hopkinton passed away Nov. 6. Born in Owensboro, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lillie (Wood) Henry. She was the wife of 61 years to the late George A. Brown.
A beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many, Mary had a passion for life that was evident in her ever-present smile and the sparkle in her eyes. Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her existence.
Mary is survived by son Robert Brown of Hopkinton and granddaughter Denise Powers and husband Patrick of Ashland. She is predeceased by sons George Thomas Brown and Kenneth Scott Brown.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe Street. A service will follow in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Hopkinton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Hopkinton Senior Center, 28 Mayhew Street, Hopkinton, MA 01748 or American Heart Assoc. (heart.org).
