December 26
6:29 a.m. A concerned caller reported two people dressed in black walking down Cedar Street, where they could be hit by a car. Officer Noah Buentello responded and checked the area with a negative find.
5:54 p.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield made checks of the Fruit Street fields.
8:35 p.m. A Hayden Rowe Street resident reported hearing gunshots in the area. Officer Nicholas Saletnik responded and found all quiet.
8:37 p.m. A caller on Hayden Rowe Street reported someone yelling threats and throwing a bottle while walking by. Sergeants Aaron O’Neil and Arthur Schofield and Officer Matthew LaTour responded and took a report.
8:56 p.m. A Woodview Way caller reported someone threw eggs at her car. Officer Nicholas Saletnik responded, confirmed the vandalism and took a report.
9:57 p.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield checked on an unoccupied vehicle on Wood Street and found it secure.

December 27
12:19 a.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield checked on a vehicle in a Legacy Farms North parking lot and found it unattended and secure.
12:40 a.m. Officer Noah Buentello assisted a vehicle on the side of the road on Elm Street and spoke with the driver, who needed directions.
9:42 a.m. Officer Brian Ziniti made checks of Teresa Road property.
1:59 p.m. A caller reported a small white dog with brown spots wandering around on Winter Street. The caller could not get close to the dog to check its tags because it growled at her. The animal control officer was notified.
2:05 p.m. Officer Brian Ziniti made checks of the LNG plant on Wilson Street.
6:57 p.m. A Stone Crossing Way resident reported seeing someone on his front porch via his security camera. Sergeants Matthew McNeil and Aaron O’Neil responded, checked the premises and found a solicitor in the area.

December 28
12:23 a.m. Officer Nicholas Walker made checks of Sandy Beach on Lakeshore Drive.
2:29 a.m. Sergeant William Burchard made checks of EMC Park and Marathon School on Hayden Rowe Street.
8:42 a.m. A caller reported the outside odor of gas on Chestnut Street. Officer Nicholas Saletnik responded along with the Fire Department to investigate.
4:38 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officer Tyler Staback responded to a motor vehicle accident on Lumber Street, where a vehicle struck a pole. No personal injuries were reported. An Uber picked up the operator.
6:07 p.m. A caller reported an erratic operator all over the road on Main Street. Officer Brennan Grimley observed the vehicle and checked on the operator, who had a flat tire.
7:42 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil assisted a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street.
9:51 p.m. A caller reported someone pulled in behind the YMCA on East Street. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officer Brennan Grimley responded and checked the area with a negative find.

December 29
2:55 a.m. Officer Nicholas Walker checked on a vehicle on Main Street, and Sergeant William Burchard responded as backup. The State Police were speaking with the female driver over the phone as well. An ambulance and the Fire Department responded for an evaluation of the driver. All checked out OK, and an incident report was taken.
6:18 a.m. Sergeant William Burchard checked on the LNG plant on Wilson Street.
8:46 a.m. A Main Street caller complained of workers from a nearby construction site parking in a lot they shouldn’t be in. Officer Tyler Staback responded, spoke to workers on site and reported one worker’s vehicle was parked in the lot. The worker subsequently moved his vehicle from the lot, which was less than half-full.
10:52 a.m. Water Department staff reported a van parked at the entrance to the well on Pratt Way, with no one in or around the vehicle. Officer Brian Ziniti responded, reported the van wasn’t blocking the gate and confirmed no one was nearby.
11:27 a.m. A walk-in reported he went to Town Hall to pick up his liquor license, but the office was closed. He wanted it noted, though his license was valid until Dec. 31, and he probably would not open on Jan. 1. The information was logged.
12:59 p.m. A caller reported finding a license plate on Old Elm Road. The Upton Police Department was contacted, as the vehicle was involved in a minor accident in November.
2:25 p.m. An Eastview Road walk-in reported low-hanging wires that vehicles could hit. Officer Tyler Staback responded and confirmed that the wires could get caught on box trucks. Verizon was contacted.
3:42 p.m. A Peppercorn Road caller reported a water leak and the need for a water shut-off from the road. The water department was notified.
4:26 p.m. Officer Shannon Beloin made checks of Walcott Valley Drive property.
4:48 p.m. Officer Brennan Grimley assisted a walk-in with fingerprinting for employment.
8:09 p.m. Officer Shannon Beloin made checks of the former Center School on Ash Street.

December 30
12:33 a.m. A West Main Street resident reported pants and shirts were missing from her room. Officer Noah Buentello responded to the facility, assisted and took a report.
12:39 a.m. Officer Nicholas Walker checked on a couple of cars parked in front of the high school on Hayden Rowe Street, and the parties moved along.
1:21 a.m. Officer Nicholas Walker made checks of the State Park on Cedar Street.
3:14 a.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield issued a winter parking ban violation citation on Dogwood Way.
7:39 a.m. A motorist reported smoke in the woods on Route 85 North before the State Park entrance. Officer Robert Ekross responded and confirmed there was a small brush fire. The Fire Department was en route.
10:39 a.m. A caller who lives on 2 acres of land asked if it was OK for his 19-year-old son to shoot his BB gun in their backyard. He was advised that since his son was over 18, yes, he could.
1:27 p.m. Officer Tyler Staback checked on a disabled motor vehicle on Proctor Street, and the operator was able to drive away.
3:04 p.m. A Reservoir Road caller reported she received an Amazon package addressed to her containing a deadbolt lock, which she never ordered. When she contacted Amazon, she was told that it was not one of its tracking numbers. Officer Grimley responded and took a report.
6:29 p.m. A motorist reported she was behind an erratic operator on Grove Street who hit a curb on Pleasant Street and almost hit another vehicle. Officers Matthew LaTour and Brennan Grimley responded, and the vehicle was gone upon their arrival. The Ashland Police Department was notified.
6:41 p.m. A caller reported her vehicle was just hit on East Main Street. She was not injured, but she was shaken up, and she had a 1-year-old in a car seat. Officer Brennan Grimley responded and took a report. Meanwhile, the operator of the other vehicle walked into the station, and Officers Matthew LaTour and Robert Ekross spoke with him and took a report.
7:23 p.m. A caller reported seeing a baby deer while getting on Interstate 495 from West Main Street. The caller was unsure if it was dead or alive. The State Police were notified.
10:13 p.m. A caller reported a tree fell in the middle of the roadway on Pond Street. Officer Matthew LaTour responded and moved part of the tree to the side of the road, then notified the DPW.

December 31
1:37 a.m. Officer Noah Buentello checked on a vehicle on Legacy Farms North and found it unoccupied and secure.
2:49 a.m. Officer Nicholas Walker checked on a vehicle on Lumber Street and found that it belonged to cleaning staff inside one of the businesses.
3:09 a.m. Officer Nicholas Walker assisted the State Police on Interstate 90.
11:43 a.m. The Northborough Police Department requested assistance identifying occupants in a vehicle registered to Golden Pond that was involved in a road rage incident. Officers Brian Ziniti and Nicholas Saletnik responded to Golden Pond on West Main Street and spoke to the manager, and the involved parties were to go to the station to speak with an officer about the incident.
4:02 p.m. Officer Brennan Grimley reported damage to a sewer grate on Glen Road and notified the DPW.
7:57 p.m. Officer Brennan Grimley checked on a motor vehicle on Parkwood Drive and found a person getting items from his place of work. All was OK.
8:38 p.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik checked on Wilson Street property.

January 1
1:00 a.m. A walk-in from Davis Road locked himself out of his house and requested assistance. Officer Sean McKeon assisted in gaining access to the house.
1:18 a.m. Officer Noah Buentello made checks of Constitution Court property.
11:33 a.m. A caller reported a road rage incident on Main Street. Officers Shannon Beloin and Brian Ziniti responded, and the vehicle was gone upon their arrival.
11:56 a.m. A caller reported a motor vehicle crash involving two cars on West Main Street. Officers Brian Ziniti and Shannon Beloin responded and issued a citation. No personal injuries were reported.
2:41 p.m. A caller reported a motor vehicle crash and a car in the woods on Clinton Street. Officers Shannon Beloin and Brian Ziniti responded along with the Fire Department. Airbags were deployed. No personal injuries were reported, and a tow truck removed the vehicle.
6:59 p.m. An Old Elm Way resident reported seeing someone behind his house via his security camera. Officers Cody Normandin, Matthew LaTour and Nicholas Saletnik responded and checked the area with a negative find.
9:50 p.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik reported a downed power line on Grove Street and contacted Verizon.
