by | Feb 21, 2024 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Leading off this week’s Independent Thoughts, Town Clerk Connor Degan discusses the effort by a group of residents to recall the Select Board, noting that it’s a challenging process and something that’s never been accomplished in town.

This week’s Move In Style Athlete Spotlight shines on Hopkinton High School senior Eve Weatherhead, who finished first in the 1-meter diving competition at the Tri-Valley League Showcase competition on Jan. 28.

Both the boys and girls ski teams at Hopkinton High School put together strong seasons this winter, with each team earning a second-place finish in the Central Mass. league, and five total skiers securing spots at the state meet.

The latest Senior Snippets highlights programs including free exercise classes, Meditative Coloring Fridays, Our Time Memory Cafe and more.

The Hopkinton Freedom Team and the Hopkinton Public Library will host a community book discussion on Thursday, March 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s lower-level classroom. The book is “Say the Right Thing: How to Talk About Identity, Diversity, and Justice” by Kenji Yoshino and David Glasgow.

Town meetings tonight include the Design Review Board (6), Housing Authority (6), Trails Committee (7:30).
