Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

The Historical Commission at its meeting Tuesday night voted to rescind the demolition delay for the home at 6 Cedar Street, paving the way for a mixed-use development at the site of the former Hopkinton Drug building downtown.

In Tuesday’s state primary, former Select Board chair Muriel Kramer lost against Tamisha Civil in the Democratic race for Governor’s Council despite strong support from Hopkinton voters.

The Hopkinton High School girls soccer team opened the season Tuesday with a 7-0 victory over visiting Norwood, and we have photos.

This week’s Senior Snippets includes information on Senior Spirit Week and a presentation on the findings of the Senior Services needs assessment.

This week’s Police Log features one arrest along with reports of a large turtle creating a hazard on Lumber Street, a bat in a house and an individual struck by a golf cart.
