Local students receive college honors

Colleges announced their dean’s list students for the fall semester, and a number of Hopkinton residents were recognized:

At Clarkson University, electrical engineering major Philip Hubbe and aeronautical engineering major Nicholas Mirabile;

At Becker College, Hannah Tapley, who is studying nursing;

At Providence College, senior Victoria Esper, juniors Connor Abate and Michelle Doucette, and freshmen Owen Delaney, Olivia Esper, Anthony Farina, Noah Kozub, Elyse Pereira, Hunter Temple and Gabrielle Thompson;

At Emerson College, sophomore Brianna Maloney, who is majoring in media arts production;

At High Point University, freshman Hannah Murphy;

At the University of Delaware, Rachel Calkins, Nicole Hudson, Caroline Johnson, Hannah McKenzie, Delaney O’Beirne, Grace Schacterle and Elena Wade.

At Worcester Polytechnic Institute, senior aerospace engineering major Amanda Dings, senior mechanical engineering major Katherine Schweikert, senior industrial engineering major Kameron Yagoobi, junior mechanical engineering major Abigail Gilbert, junior robotics engineering major Kyle Heavey, junior chemical engineering major Jeremy Jacobs. junior physics major Michael Palmieri and sophomore interactive media and game development major Rory Sullivan;

At Ithaca College, psychology/mathematics major Samuel Factor and writing major Sydney Joyce;

At Quinnpiac University, Christa Cosmo, Katelyn Curry, Anne Dumas and Conor Murphy;
At Lasell College, senior criminal justice major Holly McGrath;

At Mass. Bay Community College, Austin Richard Black, Brooklyn Kayleigh Briner, Dawson McMillan and Payal Ramu Murthy.

At the University of New Hampshire, Brittany Forsmo, Ivy Gogolin, Galen Graham, Madeline Juffras and Peter Mitchell received highest honors, while Elis Chandler, Jessica Mellor, Allison Scimone, Jonathan Snow and Lauren Winer received high honors.

At Siena College, Scott Babigian was named to the president’s list and Kyle Canty was named to the dean’s list.

At Plymouth State University, Megan Barnes, an art education major, was named to the president’s list while Matthew Decina, a communication studies major, was named to the dean’s list.

At Cedarville University, athletic training major Emma Barker was named to the dean’s honor list.
