Good morning, Hopkinton!

For those new to the site, this post is a daily update we call Hopkinton Today. We’ll have a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights for the coming day and a video or two to brighten your day.

Yesterday the president extended the national shutdown through April 30. As of Sunday afternoon there were 137,000 COVID-19 cases reported nationally, with more than 2,400 deaths. Massachusetts, meanwhile, created website page where people can donate or sell personal protective equipment (PPE) and health and medical volunteers can sign up to help.

Hopkinton Parks & Rec is offering a free online workshop Wednesday night titled “How to be mentally tough in challenging times.” Local author/effectiveness expert Kevin Stacey will lead the program. Click here for more information.
