Main Street Corridor Project update: AT&T, Comm-tract finish utility work

by | Aug 15, 2025 | News

The town’s latest Main Street Corridor Project update released Friday announced that AT&T has completed all its work on the project. Comm-tract also has finished its work on the town’s fiber network.

Comcast is reported to be off all project poles. Crews will return for minor touch-up work.

Verizon and the town arrived at an agreement on Tuesday regarding remaining work days on the project. Crews from the utility company are committed to be on-site four days per week working Tuesday through Friday. Verizon plans to work on the west site of the project from Wood Street to the police station through August. The town anticipates Verizon will complete its work by mid-October.

Finally, A.F. Amorello & Sons has committed to mobilizing after Labor Day.

Weather and other existing conditions may change the projected work schedule. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
