Hopkinton Today for Wednesday, Oct. 8: The Haunt returns to MetroWest YMCA

by | Oct 8, 2025 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

HCA, MetroWest YMCA to host circus-themed Haunt event

The Haunt 25

The MetroWest YMCA and the Hopkinton Center for the Arts are teaming up again this year to bring back The Haunt, an outdoor, interactive theatrical experience.

The theme of this year’s event is “The Carnival Comes to Deadwoodville.” Starting the weekend of Oct. 17, guests are invited to step into an undead circus. “For two uncanny weeks, Deadwoodville comes alive with the sights, sounds and spirits of a dark carnival like no other,” the HCA’s promotional website for The Haunt states.

Proceeds from this year’s event support both the HCA and the MetroWest YMCA.

“When you purchase a ticket, you’re not just enjoying a one-of-a-kind Halloween event — you’re helping ensure that more people in our community have access to the programs and opportunities they need to thrive,” Bartt Pinchuck, executive director of the MetroWest YMCA Outdoor Center, stated in a press release.

New to The Haunt this year is an add-on experience that allows guests to become part of the show. The experience is available for an additional $100 donation and includes exclusive gear and a photo opportunity with the cast.

The Haunt will run Fridays and Saturdays the weekends of Oct. 17 and Oct. 25. Kid-friendly shows are available on Sundays.
