Main Street Corridor Project update: Amorello to begin subdrain installation Wednesday

by | Jul 14, 2026 | News

In a mid-week update, the town advised residents that A.F. Amorello & Sons will begin installing a subdrain as part of the Main Street Corridor Project beginning on Wednesday.

The subdrain will be installed on the north side of Main Street between the driveway of 7 Main Street (east of the library) and 43 Main Street (Muffin House). Sidewalk traffic will be detoured around the work zone.

Work will begin on Wednesday and is expected to take a week and a half to complete. The project was initiated to address a drainage issue in the area.

Weather and other existing conditions may change the projected work schedule. Detours or alternating traffic will be used as needed for project work. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.

OMG. When will this ever end? Is there an end date?
I hope A.F. Amorello & Sons don’t do home renovations. They would never turn up.
